- Description: Consists of course work and a project report based on a research project. Consequently, the relevant provisions of the Regulations Governing Higher Degrees for Postgraduate Diploma programmes primarily by course work shall apply. To qualify for the award of the Diploma a candidate must earn a minimum of 32 credits, including research project 6 credits and other compulsory courses. Every candidate must take all the compulsory courses. Project report is to be orally defended before a panel. A full time PGD programme runs for two semesters. - Eligibility (Entry Requirements): The Ebonyi State University General Regulations for Postgraduate Diploma shall apply. Specifically, the regulations governing Diplomas of Ebonyi State University stipulate that a first degree of Ebonyi State University or other approved Universities or HND from approved institutions in the relevant fields. For PGD in Health Policy & Health Systems the following are the entry requirements:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) degree (third class division) in health sciences, social sciences, biological sciences or other relevant sciences related to health discipline, of the Ebonyi State University or from other approved Universities.
- HND qualification in health sciences, social sciences, biological sciences or other relevant sciences related to health discipline from approved institutions.
- B.Sc. (Hons.), B.A., B.Ed., or LLB degree (at least second class) in any discipline of the Ebonyi State University or from other approved Universities.
- Successfully undertaking and passing the written and oral entry interview to be conducted by the African Institute for Health Policy & Health Systems Studies, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
