PGD Health Policy & Health Systems

  1. Description: Consists of course work and a project report based on a research project. Consequently, the relevant provisions of the Regulations Governing Higher Degrees for Postgraduate Diploma programmes primarily by course work shall apply. To qualify for the award of the Diploma a candidate must earn a minimum of 32 credits, including research project 6 credits and other compulsory courses. Every candidate must take all the compulsory courses. Project report is to be orally defended before a panel. A full time PGD programme runs for two semesters.   2. Eligibility (Entry Requirements): The Ebonyi State University General Regulations for Postgraduate Diploma shall apply. Specifically, the regulations governing Diplomas of Ebonyi State University stipulate that a first degree of Ebonyi State University or other approved Universities or HND from approved institutions in the relevant fields. For PGD in Health Policy & Health Systems the following are the entry requirements:

    1. B.Sc. (Hons.) degree (third class division) in health sciences, social sciences, biological sciences or other relevant sciences related to health discipline, of the Ebonyi State University or from other approved Universities.

    2. HND qualification in health sciences, social sciences, biological sciences or other relevant sciences related to health discipline from approved institutions.

    3. B.Sc. (Hons.), B.A., B.Ed., or LLB degree (at least second class) in any discipline of the Ebonyi State University or from other approved Universities.

    4. Successfully undertaking and passing the written and oral entry interview to be conducted by the African Institute for Health Policy & Health Systems Studies, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
